For many of us, the desire to wear or just own one of these dreamy dresses, came from the movies. Probably the movie Gone With The Wind. The first time we saw Scarlett in that beautiful white and green picnic dress, we dreamed of wearing one and looking like she did. To look like Scarlett , with a 17 inch waist , straw hat and yards of ruffles became the dream look that we all dreamed. I have given up on the 17 inch waist possibility. But I can have the hat and the dress and the petticoats. We all can.
